Ajay Devgn starrer Film Bhuj The Pride Of India is in the news for its latest updates. The war drama features two Bollywood actresses Parineeti Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha and going by the reports of an entertainment portal, there is a simmering tension between the two.
As per the reports, Pari and Sona are sharing cold vibes on the sets of Bhuj: The Pride Of India. An insider revealed, "The cold war started when Parineeti learned that Sonakshi has been telling everyone that she plays the female lead in the movie." This made the actress of Namastey England filed a complaint to the production team of the film.
Speaking of the characters played by both the actresses; Sonakshi will play Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, a social worker who convinced the local women to help rebuild the only runway in Bhuj, that had been bombed by the Pakistani army during the war. Meanwhile, Parineeti will be seen as Heena Rehman, an undercover Indian agent in Lahore.
"Parineeti feels that her and Sonakshi's role is equal and both have a meaty part to play. Hence it is unfair for Sonakshi to proclaim that she is the leading lady of the movie. This has created an issue between the two actresses, who refuse to speak to each other," another source informed the website.
The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, and Ammy Virk in important roles. Helmed by filmmaker Abhishek Dudhaiya, Bhuj: The Pride Of India is scheduled to release on August 14, 2020.
On the work front, Parineeti will also be seen alongside Siddharth Malhotra in a film titled Jabariya Jodi, whereas Sonakshi Sinha is all set to make an appearance on the silver screen with her upcoming drama Kalank, which will release on April 17, 2019.
