Former Big Boss contestant and Pakistani actress, Veena Malik has ended her three- year-old marriage with her businessman husband Asad Bashir Khan Khattak.
Veena, who tied the knot with Asad in Dubai on December 35, 2013 in a private ceremony filed an application for ‘khula’ (divorce) in Lahore court.
The court has accepted Veena’s divorce application and passed a judgement in her favour. As Veena had filed for divorce, she will have to return 25 percent of her 'haq mehr' (dower money) to her husband.
Sources revealed that post marriage the actress announced her retirement from the commercial film industry as well.
However, Veena’s twitter handle revealed that the actress was quite happy with her marriage as her twitter account was flooded with number of pictures along with her husband. She even posted several pictures from her Haj pilgrimage with her husband post marriage.
But seemed all did not go well between the couple and the actress announced her separation with husband in January this year.
It is said assumed that as Veena desire to make a comeback in the cine-world might be the reason for the split as her family was not in her favour.
