Padmavati is undoubtedly the most anticipated film of the year. The trailer of the movie already created a stir among the movie buffs; especially Ranveer Singh’s guise as Alauddin Khilji was the most liked. On Saturday, the actor shared a picture of his character Alauddin Khilji, completing his portion in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s grand saga. The picture contains a sketch of his vile avatar from the movie. He wrote: And it’s a wrap! Goodbye Alauddin. 1 year and a few weeks later, I bid thee farewell. May your restless soul find its peace… #Khilji

Padmavati features Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari and Raza Murad apart from Ranveer Singh. The film has been embroiled in controversies right from its announcement. Rajput Karni Sena has been objecting to the film for manipulating the facts and representing the Queen in bad light. They have also demanded Sanjay Leela Bhansali to show the film to members of the organisation so they can check if the historical facts are on point or not.

The trailer of Padmavati has been liked by movie buffs to such an extent that it now stands with nearly 4 million views in a matter of less than a month. Padmavati also marks Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s third collaboration together with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Goliyon Ki Raas Leela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani. Deepika is all set to work with SLB in his next film as well, which is based on the love story of Amrita Pritam and Sahir Ludhianvi.
