The trailer of actor Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Padman has released and needless to say it has blockbuster written all over it. The movie is inspired from Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man who invented low-cost sanitary napkins for ladies. Apart from Khiladi Kumar, the film also features Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in pivotal roles.

The trailer starts with the narration that West has superheroes like Superman and Batman, but India has Padman. Akshay is then seen making sanitary napkins and telling that only mad people become famous. Radhika Apte looks convincing as Akshay’s wife. The chemistry between the two will surely win your hearts. After Neerja, it seems that Sonam Kapoor is all set to give another spectacular performance.

In the film, the actor has talked about mensuration that is considered taboo in the country. Earlier, Akshay raised the topic of cleanliness in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and now we have Padman. It will not be wrong to say that Khiladi Kumar is the crazy and mad superhero that our society always needed.

The posters of the film have already indicated that Padman is going to be another addition to Akshay’s list of blockbuster films. It is worthy to mention that Khiladi Kumar’s last two films Jolly LLB 2 and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club.

Directed by R Balki, this is Twinkle Khanna’s maiden production venture. The movie is all set to hit the screens on January 26.
