Akshay Kumar on Sunday released another poster of Padman. The film is scheduled to release on Republic Day in 2018, according to the poster. After his film on social initiative, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha became a success on box office, Akshay Kumar takes a step ahead to make another socially responsible film, Padman. Khiladi Kumar will be playing the role of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the mastermind behind low-cost sanitary pad making machine.
Akshay Kumar’s Padman is based on the real-life story of Arunachalam Muruganantham. The new poster of the film is out and the noted film trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the poster.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, Padman will also have Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in important roles. The movie is helmed by R. Balki and produced by Twinkle Khanna and Gauri Shinde. It will hit the theatres on 26th January 2017.
