Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat not only received rave reviews but it has also completed 75 glorious days. To celebrate it, actor Ranveer Singh shared a video that shows his transformation into menacing Alauddin Khilji. It goes without saying that the actor played the role to perfection and was praised for his spectacular performance. Have a look at the video and see what went into the making of Khilji.
Ranveer took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “As #Padmaavat completes 75 days, here’s a tiny glimpse of what went into the making of a Monster #Khilji.”
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was also impressed by Ranveer’s act. He sent him a hand-written note and bouquet.
The movie faced many controversies before its release. Padmaavat also featured actress Deepika Padukone and actor Shahid Kapoor. The film did wonderful collection at the box office.
On a related note, Ranveer is also occupied with the work of his upcoming film Gully Boy in which he will be seen sharing the screen space with Alia Bhatt. The movie is directed by Zoya Akhtar. The handsome hunk is set to play the protagonist in filmmakers Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar’s Simmba alongside Sara Ali Khan.
