Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most talked-about film Padmaavat is spelling magic at the box-office. The period drama, which hit the cinemas on 25 January 25 amid threats from Karni Sena, is all set to enter the coveted Rs 200 crore club. Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, the SLB film has already broken several BO records.

The movie is receiving praises and the star cast is getting positive response for the spectacular performances. Padmaavat marked the third-time collaboration of Ranveer-Deepika-Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
Recently, Deepika Padukone opened up on Padmaavat in an exclusive interview with India TV. The actress talked at length about the movie- the controversies it got entangled with and a lot more.
At the beginning of the interview, the Padmaavat actress says she never thought that the movie won’t release. Though, she wasn’t sure when will it release, she was sure that it will surely release one day. Deepika stated that all the love that Padmaavat received, she was quite confident about that love.

Padmaavat released on January 25 and minted Rs 19 cr on first day. The movie became the biggest opener of 2018 till now.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film was unstoppable as it earned Rs 32 crore on its second day and became the highest single day grosser.
The movie released around Republic Day. It left behind Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees and Salman Khan’s Jai Ho when it comes to collection on Januray 26. Padmaavat earned Rs 32 crore.
