There was a time when there was a cliché that two actors, who played lovers in one film, won’t be accepted by the audiences as siblings in other films. But, things started changing eventually. Filmmakers were ready to take risk and actors started experimenting and then we got see some talented actors, who once portrayed lovers, made movie buffs believed that they are real siblings. Not only this, actresses who dream to star opposite superstars were also seen playing their sister without any hesitation.
Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh
Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh played siblings in Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do. They beautifully showed how siblings support each other. It was hard for people to believe that both of them played soul lovers in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan
The talented actors who played lovers in Mohabbatein, were seen as ‘bindaas’ brother and sister in Josh. Later, in 2016, SRK again expressed his ‘Ek Tarfa Pyar’ for Aishwarya in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Abhishek Bachchan and Asin
Abhishek and Asin were first played siblings in Rohit Shetty’s directorial venture Bol Bachchan. Later, in 2015, both the actors were paired opposite each other in All Is Well.
Arjun Rampal and Deepika Padukone
Deepika was seen head over heels in love with Arjun in Om Shanti Om. Later, she played his sister in Housefull.
Swara Bhaskar and Salman Khan
Swara and Salman worked together in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The film took movie buffs on an emotional ride and the actress played Salman’s sister on the silver screen. After that, they have not worked together till now.
