Here's a sad news for Amitabh Bachchan's fans. This year the megastar won't celebrate his 75th birthday which falls on October 11. The Bachchan family will also not have any kind of Diwali celebration this year. Big B informed about this in a tweet.

"India thrash Australia in T20, Pink Panthers' extraordinary convincing win, thunderstorm cancels shoot, 30 million on Twitter, and just for your information... no Diwali celebration this year," Amitabh tweeted. Earlier in a tweet, he wrote, ''75th Birthday ! Ya .. so .. ?? celebration, no celebration, going here, going there .. अरे छोड़ दो यार ! बस साँस लेने दो !''.

Though he didn't give the reason but there are speculation that this decision may be due to family reason. His daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father Krishnaraj Rai passed away in March after several days of illness. The Piku star shared details on his blog. "No, there is no celebration of any kind for the 75th and there's no possibility of my presence here in the city. They speculate...They aver, they get to know from their 'sources', details which can be completely wrong at times... one wishes to be those sources - for we, never ever know who or what they are," Amitabh wrote.

Meanwhile, Amitabh has scored 30 million followers on Twitter and he expressed his excitement via a tweet. ''Thirty million on Twitter. Some joys, some bitter. Looking for words to match the rhyme...hitter, sitter, fitter, litter," he said.
