New Delhi: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Raees’ has been one of the most anticipated movies.
The movie bagged a lot of attention since beginning and was supposed to have a tough clash with Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ on Eid this year.
However, this biggest box office clash was averted after SRK along with the makers postponed the release of ‘Raees’ to 2017.
While this created a lot of buzz, it seems the King Khan’s co-stars are quite unaffected by the postponement.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays a key role in ‘Raees’ states that postponing the release is the decision taken by the makers and feels that the movie will be unfazed by this delay.
“See ye depend karta hai aapke producer pe. Unki apni marzi hai. Woh jab chahenge woh release hogi. Hum actors hai. Humne kaam kiya, humara itna hi kaam tha. Jo technicalities hoti hai woh producer pe hi depend karti hai,” Siddiqui told an entertainment portal.
“Postpone hoke koi fark nahi padta. Aisi film nahi hai jiske postpone hone se kuch badal jayega. Kyunki 5-6 months tak to uska post production hi chalega,” he further added.
Nawazuddin also expressed his views on the much talked about clash between ‘Raees’ and ‘Sultan’, saying “Clash to nahi honi chahiye. Dono hi film ko fark padta hai. Sultan ho ya raees, dono ko fark padta hai. I don’t think aisi koi achi strategy hoti hai ki do badi filmein release ho. So this is good.”
Helmed by Rahul Dholakia, ‘Raees’ also starring Mahira Khan, will now release on January 26, 2017. The movie will now have a clash with Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ also starting Yami Gautam.
