Since yesterday Nawazuddin Siddiqui racism tweet has been making huge headlines and, Ayushmaan Khurrana has recently commented on it. The actor who will be seen in Bareilly Ki Barfi opposite Kirti Sanon, said that there are no divisions between parallel and commercial cinema these days and, talent is always given priority. Further, he said that Nawazuddin is a fabulous and talented actor who is loaded with offers at the moment. Ayushmaan was last seen with Parineeti Chopra in Pyaari Bindu but the film failed to impress.
Speaking at the Bareilly Ki Barfi trailer launch in Mumbai, Ayushmann reacted to the entire racism in Bollywood episode. He said, “Nawaz is getting lead roles yaar. Earlier there used to be a divide between parallel and commercial cinema. But now it’s all driven by talent. I don’t think so. Meri mummy ne aisa kabhi nahi bola ki dhoop mein khelene mat jao ki kale ho jaoge.”
Meri Pyaari Bindu starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra released on May 12 amid huge expectations. However, the film failed at the box-office and now, actor Ayushmann says that he personally received a mixed response to the film. He further added that he believes that somehow Baahubali 2: The Conclusion ate up the business of his film.
"I think somehow 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' ate up the business of the film. May be, it would have earned more money had Baahubali 2: The Conclusion not been in theatres at that time", Ayushmann said. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which released on April 28, is the highest grossing film in India.
