Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently made it to the headlines after his sister-in-law accused him and his family of dowry harassment. However, the actor’s spokesperson has refuted all the allegations, saying neither Nawazuddin nor his family demanded any sort of dowry from the said victim’s family ever.

It was reported that the victim, who married Siddiqui’s younger brother in May 2016, has alleged that her in-laws tortured and misbehaved with her for dowry. The victim had also filed a complaint with police regarding the same.

However, Nawazuddin’s spokesperson Anup Pandey has told an entertainment portal that no FIR has been lodged against the actor.

He also revealed that it was Nawaz who had convinced his family for his brother’s wedding with the victim, who happens to be the daughter of a bus driver.

Considering the poor financial background of the girl’s family, there was not point Siddiqui family could ask for dowry, stated Anup.

Apparently, the victim had also accused Nawazuddin of beating her and kicking her in the stomach while she was three months pregnant on September 28.

But, the actor’s spokesperson quashed the claims of Nawaz getting violent with his sister-in-law ever.

Anup claimed that the actor was maintaining a stoic stance following his respect for women. However, with the matter getting ugly with every passing day, Siddiqui will soon speak about the incident, concluded Pandey.

We wonder, what he has to say in the regard.

On the professional front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was last seen in Sohail Khan’s directorial ‘Freaky Ali’ opposite Amy Jackson.
