New Delhi: Bollywood’s Munnabhai Sanjay Dutt remembered his mother Nargis Dutt on her 87th birthday today.
The actor, who walked a free man from Pune’s Yerwada jail in February this year, took to Instagram to share a picture of his mother, with whom he shared a close bond.
He captioned the picture: “Happy birthday mom, miss u and love u.”
Interestingly, Sanjay’s wife Manyata Dutt too shared a picture of her mother-in-law. In the picture one can see Nargis’ photograph alongside a family picture of Sanjay, Maanyata and their twins Shahraan and Iqra.

She captioned the image as: “Our loss is heavens gain…happy 87th birthday!! ❤ #love #grace #positivity @dutt1”
These pictures clearly depict the special place Nargis holds in Sanjay Dutt’s life, family and home. Nargis was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died in the year 1981.
On February 25, Sanjay Dutt, after stepping his feet out of the jail, headed to the grave of his mother to offer prayers.
Nargis was married to actor Sunil Dutt and the couple had three children together: Sanjay, Namrata, and Priya.
