As the veteran actress Sridevi is gearing up for her 300th film Mom, which will release this Friday, her on-screen daughter Sajal Ali is breaking the internet. The 23-year-old actress hails from Pakistan and, is all set for her big Bollywood debut. With her charismatic looks and amazing on-screen persona, Sajal has become the talk of the town.
TV and films
Sajal is a well-known face of Pakistani television industry. She worked in shows including Nadaaniyaan, Yaqeen, Gidh, Yoon Hum Miley and Ishq For Sale among others. She stepped into filmy career with Pakistani movie Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hay, in which her role was appreciated by all.
Unique style statement
Apart from acting, the actress is known for her unique style statements. Like any other girl of her age, she also loves to dress up and click selfies.
Bollywood experience
In an interview Sajal Ali talked about working in Mom.“It was a beautiful experience working on Mom. The respect and appreciation that I have received is simply amazing, especially from all my co-stars, producers, director - it was just very overwhelming. To give your best, you need to build up a comfort level on set, and that is something that everybody helped in developing”, the actress said.
Sharing screen-space with Sridevi
The actress revealed she was excited and a bit nervous for shooting with legendary actrss Sridevi. “My first scene was with Sridevi ma'am, and before we shot for that, I was very scared, frightened, but after we were done with it, I asked her how it went. And she smiled and gave me thumbs up, that was such a warm moment. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed”, Sajal added.
Mom also stars Akshaye Khanna, Abhimanyu Singh and Vikas Verma. Pakistani child actors Adnan Siddiqui and Sajal Ali are playing the roles of Sridevi's children in the film. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, Mom will hit the cinemas on July 7. It will release in three languages- Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
