While, professionally, the trailer of his forthcoming movie ‘Udta Punjab’ received stupendous response from the audience, on the personal front, Shahid is all set to enter a new phase – fatherhood.

The news was confirmed by the actor himself and his entire family is on cloud nine these days.
When Shahid’s mother Neelima Azim was quizzed about Mira’s pregnancy, the granny-to-be just couldn’t hide her happiness and excitement.
“Shahid had told me at the right time, but I guessed it much earlier. Call it a mother’s intuition or sixth sense, but I was pretty sure Mira was expecting earlier. I was extremely happy when Shahid confirmed what I was thinking! It’s a great feeling becoming a grandmother and very difficult to express in words. We are all feeling so thrilled, excited and yet emotional... It’s a happy time for us all,” Neelima told a leading daily.
Wondering if she wants a baby girl or a baby boy for Shahid and Mira, Neelima said, I just want the baby to be happy, healthy and fine... Whether it’s a boy or girl doesn’t matter.”

According to the media reports, Mira Rajput is due to deliver in September or October.
