Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya had been surrounded by multiple controversies for the longest time. The film has been hit hard for its title as well as for its release date a number of times before. While Kangana’s sister Rangoli shut the mouths when the controversy related to the film’s title arose, this time it is filmmaker Ekta Kapoor who has released a statement regarding the new release date.

Taking to her social media, Ekta Kapoor shared a picture which reads,  “The shift in the release date is a decision taken after recommendations from the distributors, trade analysts and a top research team, keeping in mind the other releases a week before and after this date. We have thus been advised to shift the release of our movie to 26th July, purely for business prospects. On knowing that there is already a movie scheduled for a release on that date, we did everything in our purview to ensure the other parties that there will be no mud slinging and it will be a dignified release. We stand by assuring that to all other parties.”

For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut’s film Mental Hai Kya is all set to clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30. Going by the controversial history that these two actors shrae, the buss around the films has increased to another level. Earlier also, Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 was supposed to clash with Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika, however, due to other reason, Super 30 got postponed.

On the related note, Hrithik is playing mathematician Anand Kumar in Super 30. The first look posters of both the films have piqued the interest of cinephiles, and it will be interesting to see the two movies battle it out at the box office. It would be interesting to see the two actors talk about each other’s film as well.
