Ever since the shooting of Manmarziyan commenced in Punjab, the star cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal have been sharing the glimpses from the sets on social media. The film is on the must-watch list of many cinephiles for many reasons; firstly, the film being an Anurag Kashyap directorial and secondly, Abhishek Bachchan is making a comeback on silverscreen after two years with this film. On Wednesday, the makers dropped the first look for Manmarziyan and its already trending.
The pictures give us an insight into Taapsee, Abhishek and Vicky’s character in the film. Going by the pictures, we’ll try to decipher what their roles would be like. Firstly, let’s talk about Taapsee Pannu. The Bollywood actress is seen in traditional Patiala suits in the leaked pictures and also in the first look. She seems to be playing a fun-loving Punjabi girl, who lives her life on her own terms and conditions. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal’s dapper looks and piercing give us a hint that he’s playing that cool Punjabi munda who can sweep any woman off her feet in no time.
Now coming to Abhishek Bachchan, whose guise has intrigued us the most. The Guru actor will be seen as a Sikh in the film, with turban and beard. His gaze is fixated at something while he’s being clicked from the other side of the glass. From the picture, he looks like a hard-working Sikh who is a man of few words, contradictory to Taapsee’s character in Manmarziyan.
Well, these are just our analysis. We’ll have to wait for the trailer to release so that we can tell something more about their characters in Manmarziyan.
In early March, Abhishek Bachchan expressed his feelings about facing the camera after two years. He appeared in Housefull 3 back in 2016. The shooting of Manmarziyan is taking place in Amritsar, Punjab. Anurag Kashyap along with the actors share the pictures from their sets on daily basis.
Manmarziyan is co-produced by Aanand L Rai. It is the first time that Taapsee Pannu will be sharing screen space with Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal.
