Manmarziyaan: Ex-wife Kalki can’t believe Anurag Kashyap made a rom-com, Bollywood lauds Abhishek Bachchan
Upcoming Bollywood film Manmarziyaan brings forth the complexities of Rumi (Taapsee Pannu), Robbie (Abhishek Bachchan) and Vicky’s (Vicky Kaushal) relationship. The film is all set to release on September 14 but before the audience gets to witness the film, the makers held a special screening in Mumbai for celebrities. Going by their reviews, it's pretty clear that Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal have done a superb job.

She took to Twitter and wrote, “I can’t believe you made a rom-com!” She went on to tag Abhishek Bachchan as Mr Darcy.
The film is being touted as Abhishek Bachchan’s comeback to films after a sabbatical of two years. Happy Phir Bhaag Jayegi director Mudassar Aziz tweeted, “WELCOME BACK @juniorbachchan ! How you have absolutely hit this outta the park AB!”
Noted author Aseem Chhabra caught a special screening of the film at TIFF. He shared, .@taapsee & @vickykaushal09 are explosively good in @anuragkashyap72’s rather long drawn out #Manmarziyaan. But the story of obsessive love in Amritsar mostly holds because of the two terrific actors. #TIFF18
The film is a love triangle with Taapsee playing the character of Rumi, Vicky Kaushal essaying the role of DJ Vicky and Abhishek Bachchan of Robbie. The trailer of the film and the film’s song have been loved by the audience.
The lead cast of the film and the film’s music director Amit Trivedi are promoting the film through Manmarziyaan concerts across the country.
Manmarziyan is one of the much-awaited Bollywood films. It brings back Abhishek Bachchan on the silver screen after a gap of two years and by the look of the trailer, the actor couldn’t have got a better comeback than the Anurag Kashyap film. Produced by Aanand L Rai and Phantom Films, Manmarziyan is scheduled for September 14 release.
