Kangana Ranaut has been updating fans by sharing series of stills from her forthcoming biopic on Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi from last few weeks. And the reigning queen of Bollywood Kangana, looked royal, elegant and perfect as Rani Laxmibai in all the stills of Manikarnika. Interestingly, the much-awaited teaser of Kangana's forthcoming biopic on Queen Laxmibai dropped on the online platform today. In the 2 minutes long teaser of Manikarnika, Kangana can be seen fighting fiercely with the soldiers of British East India Company for freedom during the first war of independence in 1857 .
In the teaser of Manikarnika, Bollywood's megastar Amitabh has introduced the Queen of Jhansi, Manikarnika in his influential voice. The brave heart queen Laxmibai can be seen challenging the British soldiers and fighting bravely to attain freedom from their rule. The queen even sacrificed her life fighting with them.
Kangana has perfectly donned the queen avatar and has left no stone unturned to step into her shoes. Whether it is her royal avatar or carrying the heavy jewellery or sword, Kangana has done all with ease. In the teaser, she can be seen fighting like a warrior holding her son next to her.

The film also stars TV actress Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkaribai in Manikarnika, which is also her Bollywood debut film. The film will also see Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, Suresh Oberoi in the role of Peshwa Bajirao and Jisshu Sengupta will essay the character of Gangadhar Rao. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is helmed by Krish and is slated to release on January 25, 2019.
