Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi starring Kangana Ranaut is one of the most talked-about movies of the year. The makers today have unveiled a new poster featuring Kangana on Rani Laxmibai’s death anniversary. Rani Laxmibai lived a life that is celebrated even today and her name is etched in Indian history as the warrior queen, who fought for her nation and became an inspiration. It's befitting that a biopic is in the works of Rani Laxmibai and who better than Kangana Ranaut to essay her role.
Remembering Rani Laximbai on her death anniversary, Team Kangana Ranaut shared new Manikarnika poster. “Remembering one of the bravest women that ever lived, #RaniLaxmiBai #Repost if you can’t wait to witness her epic story on screen #KanganaRanaut as #Manikarnika. #deathanniversary #tribute #martyr #Queen #warrior #history”, the caption read.
Asked if her "Manikarnika.." will create the same magic onscreen, Kangana in a recent interview said: "When I watch another actor's work, I don't compare my film with the film that I am watching and when I watch a film then, I only think about that actor. This film's cast and crew deserve all the credit for the success of the film."
