TV actress Ankita Lokhande who was last seen in TV show Pavitra Rishta is all set to make her Bollywood debut in Kangana Ranaut-starrer Manikarnika. Kangana will be seen playing the titular role of Rani Laxmi Bai while Ankita Lokhande will be portraying Jhalkaribai on the silverscreen. In the picture, actor Vaibhav Tatwawaadi is also seen sitting next to her. The picture is blurred with Ankita pointing her fingers in the form of a gun towards Vaibhav.

Manikarnika is going to be Ankita’s first Bollywood venture. She is busy shooting for her sequence. Ankita Lokhande became a household name while she acted in Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta, opposite to her real life boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput.
Kangana’s look for the movie was revealed and she looked like a genuine warrior princess. She was wearing a white and gold outfit with a turban. It was a still from the sets of film in Jaipur. It was during one fight sequence, Kangana Ranaut got injured.
Manikarnika is a biopic of Rani Laxmi Bai, the fierce warrior queen of Jhansi who sacrificed her life fighting the British. It is being helmed by Vijayendra Prasad.
