The trailer of Farhan Akhtar starrer Lucknow Central has released and it shows the ambition of a boy hailing from a small place to form a band. Farhan will be seen playing the role of Mohan Girhotra, who wants to be a singer but god has some other plans for him and he wrongfully gets accuse of murder and lands in jail as prisoner number 1821. He gets the opportunity to form a band inside the jail but that turns out to be his plan to run from it. So, every time the actor talks about the band, Deepak Dobriyal, who is his fellow prisoner asks, “bhagenge kese?”
Farhan once again impresses with his acting in the trailer and proves that he can easily get into the skin of any character. Deepak on the other hand looked in a different avatar and it will be interesting to watch his camaraderie with the actor. Actress Diana Penty, who is playing an NGO worker didn’t get much space in the two-minute-long trailer. TV actor Ronit Roy is seen as a baddie police inspector in the trailer.
It will not be wrong to say that the trailer of the film looks similar to Aadar Jain's debut film Quaidi Band. However, it is yet to be seen if these movies have something in common.
Directed by debutant Ranjit Tiwari, Lucknow Central is slated to release on September 15. The project is bankrolled by Nikkhil Advani.
