Debutant Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain starrer LoveYatri has wooed the audience with a peppy playlist but sadly, the performances failed to live up to the charm that the young duo spread before the movie hit the theaters. After a low start on the opening day with Rs 1.9 crores in its kitty, the movie managed to bring decent numbers. After adding Rs 1 crore on the first Monday, LoveYtari’s total box office collection stands at Rs 7.75 crore.
According to the report in Box Office India, “Loveyatri dropped nearly 50% on Monday after a low weekend and the week looks like going to a little over 10 crore nett. The film has not worked at the box office.” On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer AndhaDhun is unstoppable as its business is increasing day by day. The film has managed to impress the critics and viewers alike and good word of mouth is bringing good numbers at the box office. AndhaDhun’s total collection stands at Rs 17.85 crores.
Coming back to LoveYatri, India Tv critic feels that one should watch the movie if one misses the mushy old Bollywood love stories of the 90's. “Writer Niren Bhatt is has taken cues from Bollywood formulas of the 90s and tried to remold it into something new. There is desi ladka, NRI ladki, heroine ka khadoos baap, mama who plays love-guru, hero ke friends whose only job is to give dose of humour at regular intervals, misunderstanding and a lot of garba. To be precise, there is more garba than acting in the entire flick. The movie begins with a dance song and ends with another one.”
