Lipstick Under My Burkha director and producer have collaborated again for a woman-centric story with a title Dolly Kitty Aur Wo Chamakte Sitare. Director Alankrita Shrivastava and producer Ekta Kapoor have started filming the project. Starring Bhumi Pednekar and Konkona Sen Sharma, the film promises to break the stereotypes just like Lipstick Under My Burkha.

Lipstick Under My Burkha made everyone consider the desires of women and it also challenged the patriarch mindset. After facing the wrath of censor board for a long time, the movie finally saw daylight in July 2017. Ekta Kapoor shared the first poster of the film and captioned it, ''You didn’t make them so you don’t get to break them!  Presenting ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare’  Alankrita Srivastava’s next after ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’. The journey begins.  #JoinTheREBELution #DollyKittyFirstLook #FilmingBegins.”

Well in the poster, we can see Konkona clad in a bright pink saree whereas Bhumi is donning a thug look. Both the actresses have their faces inside two respective cages but that doesn't hinder them from showing their real selves. Metaphorically, the cage stands for the barriers put by the society.

A source close to the film informed Filmfare, ''It’s about two women and their coming-of-age story which is set in Greater Noida. When Alankrita narrated the script, both Bhumi and Konkona loved it and immediately agreed to be a part of the project. They are presently prepping for the film and will start shooting from next week.''

On a related note, Bhumi will next be seen in Abhishek Choubey's Son Chiriya, in which she is playing a dacoit alongside Manoj Bajpayee and Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress has also bagged a role in Karan Johar's multi-starrer project Takht.
