Here’s how Parineeti Chopra reacted on Nick Jonas’s marriage proposal to Priyanka Chopra

Desi girl Priyanka Chopra got engaged to the American singer Nick Jonas in a private ceremony recently. Interestingly, Nick proposed marriage to Priyanka during her 36th birthday in London in July this year. And Priyanka and Nick made their relationship official through a traditional ceremony in Mumbai recently. 

Parineeti, who had earlier shared her excitement for her cousin Priyanka’s relationship with Nick, recently revealed about her first reaction on the American singer’s proposal to PeeCee.

Parineeti is currently gearing up for the release of her forthcoming film Namaste England and recently during the promotions of the film, she said that she was the first person, Priyanka shared the news of her proposal.

Thampi Kannanthanam, veteran Malayalam film personality passes away at 65

Veteran Malayalam film personality Thampi Kannanthanam passed away on Tuesday at a private hospital near here after several days of illness, the film fraternity said. He was 65. Kannanthanam was a producer, director and have also acted in a few film. He was admitted to the private hospital last week.

A multi-faceted film personality, Kannanthanam was a hugely successful and celebrated director and often regarded as the one who took Mohanlal to his career high in "Rajavinte Makan" in 1986. After this film, Mohanlal had never looked back in his career.

Mohanlal told the media over the phone from Kulu-Manali in Himachal Pradesh, that without any qualms he would say Thampi Kannanthanam moulded him into the star he was today.

Akshay Kumar extends warm wishes to friend Kapil Sharma for Son Of Manjeet Singh

National Award-winner Akshay Kumar has wished good luck to actor Kapil Sharma, whom he calls his friend, for his maiden Punjabi production "Son Of Manjeet Singh". Akshay on Tuesday tweeted the trailer of the film, which stars Punjabi actor Gurpreet Ghuggi. 

"Sometimes complex but if done correctly a father-son relation can be a beautiful one. Wishing my friends Kapil Sharma and Gurpreet Ghuggi all the best for 'Son Of Manjeet Singh'," he captioned the trailer.

Manto star Rasika Dugal to do show on forgotten authors of India

Rasika Dugal, who was last seen in Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Manto, shared her experience of working in the film. Rasika aims to do a series on the forgotten authors of India and said that it is important that their thoughts and stories be kept alive with the youth of the country.

"While preparing and promoting 'Manto', I realised that there are so many people who are eager to share what they have read and what resonated with them about 'Manto' and others who have been inspired to read 'Manto' after getting to know about the film,'' she said.
