As Priyanka Chopra's engagement rumours with rumoured boyfriend Nick Jonas make headlines, the actor today said her personal life is not for "public consumption".The 36-year-old actor said that she does not feel the need to give explanation about her relationships to anyone.
"My personal life is not for public consumption. 90 per cent of my life is for public consumption but 10 per cent is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. My family, friendship, my relationships are things I don't think I need to defend or explain it to anyone. I am not running for the Office, so I don't think I need to give explanations," Priyanka said.
The actor was speaking at an interactive session titled 'Challenging the Status Quo & Forging New Paths' organised Jointly by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) and Yes bank.

In an effort to celebrate the rich and diverse handicrafts of India, the team of Sui Dhaaga - Made In India reached out to local artisans and craftsmen from across the country to create the logo of the film in their unique stitching styles.
The logo's launch on Tuesday coincides with the National Handloom Day.
"We reached out to 15 uniquely skilled artists/artist groups who helped us design our film logo. It has been an exhaustive and most rewarding experience for all of us at Yash Raj Films (YRF)," Manan Mehta, Vice President - Marketing and Merchandising, YRF, said in a statement.

Salman Khan, who is backing brother-in-law Aayush Sharma's debut film "Loveratri", said that it is important for newcomers to have interesting personality.
The actor recalled his own debut 30 years ago with "Maine Pyaar Kiya". "I did 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' where Sooraj Barjatya launched a new face like me and here I am standing in front of you all. It has been 30 years. I think whenever you see faces of people who can make your head turn, they should be launched. It's not just how they look," Salman said at the trailer launch of "Loveratri".
"It's their personality, hardwork and dedication all put together. Then we do our bit and once the film releases, then it's up to you (the audience) to decide whether they will become one of us and remain in the industry," Salman added.
Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani impress in this unreleased Baaghi 2 poster
After several months of its release, Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has unveiled an unreleased poster of his action flick Baaghi 2. The Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star film is one of the most successful commercial entertainers of 2018. Baaghi 2 crossed the Rs 150 crore mark at the box office and a happy Tiger Shroff said,"I am positively overwhelmed by the response the movie has received from all the fans. The success seen by 'Baaghi 2' would not have been possible without them. To be a part of a production that has become the fastest Rs 100 crore grosser of 2018 is very exciting and I am grateful to be a part of it.''
He posted it on his Instagram account. In the poster, Tiger and his co-star Disha Patani can be seen in a rugged avatar, running through what appears to be a jungle. In the action-packed poster a helicopter can also be seen flying above the lead couple.

After "Mrs Funnybones" and "The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad", actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna is all set to come up with her third book "Pyjamas are Forgiving" in September.
The 43-year-old columnist, who is quite famous for her wit and sarcasm, on Monday took to Twitter to update: "Out in early September and I am going to be crossing my fingers and toes for the next few months."
She also informed people that they can pre-order the book on Amazon and Flipkart.
Happy for his wife, actor Akshay Kumar tweeted: "The whole family was walking on eggshells when she was writing this one and I for one am so glad she is finally done."
