Ever since the release of Gully Boy in February, fans have been asking about how MC Sher rise in his life and what happens to him after his protégé Murad turns into a rap-star. Reports in Mumbai Mirror have stated that producer Ritesh Sidhwani and director Zoya Akhtar are planning a spin-off which will focus on their overnight sensation and his charismatic Sher and the character will be played by Siddhant Chaturvedi. A source told the publication, “The film is entirely based on Siddhant’s character and traces MC Sher’s journey to becoming a hero. This will also give the makers a chance to delve deeper into the hip-hop culture and you can expect many engaging rap battles.”
