Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan announced that his upcoming directorial venture ‘Krrish 4’ will not be clashing with Shah Rukh- Anand L. Rai’s yet-to-be named project on Christmas 2018.
Rakesh Roshan, who had previously announced that same date for ‘Krissh 4’ starring Hrithik in the lead, stated that he wasn’t aware the Christmas 2018 was booked by King Khan and was ready to shift the date as they have still time for the movie.
Roshan told a leading daily that it would be immoral of him if he still releases his movie on the same day. Rakesh further mentioned that their job is to create movies and not controversies.
The director also mentioned that he has no grudges with SRK, for making him shift the release of ‘Krrish 4’ and referred to the superstar as his younger brother.
Insterstingly, SRK has already announced that his next movie with Anand, in which he will be playing the role of a dwarf, will hit the theatres on Christmas 2018.
Apparently, this would have been the second clash between Shah Rukh and Hrithik. The two superstars will be confronting each other at the box office on January 26, 2017, as Hrithik’s ‘Kaabil’ and SRK’s ‘Raees’ are schedule to release on the same date.
In fact, there have been reports that King Khan had visited the Roshan’s to request them to shift the release of ‘Kaabil’. However, Rakesh Roshan was just not in a mood to shit the release date.
"I had announced the date for Kaabil earlier. I can’t do anything about it, if they too choose to come on the same date”, Rakesh was quoted saying when asked about his meeting with King Khan.
Senior Roshan also made it a point that that he doesn’t shifts the release dates of his movie post announcement, until and unless the date isn’t booked by someone else, which happened in the case of ‘Krrish 4’.
Interestingly, ‘Krrish 4’ holds a lot of importance for both Hrithik and Rakesh, as reportedly Hrithik’s sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan are also playing a key part in writing the script of the movie.
Looks like, Rakesh Roshan doesn’t want to take any chance with this home production.
On the other hand, there have been reports that actor Vivek Oberoi, who played the antagonist in Krrish 3, will also been seen in the fourth instalment of the series, as well.
However, no official announcement has been made about the star cast of ‘Krrish 4’ yet.
