It’s a murder; Kritika Choudhary’s autopsy report confirms head injury: Mumbai Police

On Monday, model-actress Kritika Choudhary’s decomposed body was recovered from her apartment in Andheri, Mumbai.

On Monday, model-actress Kritika Choudhary’s decomposed body was recovered from her apartment in Andheri, Mumbai. The actress has been said to be dead for three days but as the air conditioning of the room was on, the stench couldn’t get out. The neighbours noticed the foul smell and informed police about it. Mumbai Police broke the door open to find Kritika’s decomposed body. Amboli Police said that the actress was murdered. The post-mortem was conducted at Cooper Hospital on Tuesday which confirmed a head injury on the right side with a blunt object.

Mumbai Police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Rashmi Karandikar said that an unknown person has been booked for murder and the investigations are under process. 

Kritika lived in Bhairavnath SRA society near the Regional Transport Office in Four Bungalows. She was found in her apartment on Monday afternoon after her neighbours noticed foul smells emitting from her home. Initially, a case of accidental death was registered, noting that Choudhary has been dead for 2-3 days. She hailed from Haridwar and came to Mumbai to fulfil her cinema dreams. She worked in television shows and did a Hindi film ‘Rajjo’ which featured Kangana Ranaut. Her family is on the way to Mumbai to collect her body and record their statements. 

Several people in the society has been questioned. “The deceased does not have any close family members in Mumbai, so we are questioning watchmen at the building and persons who delivered, milk, groceries, newspapers and others who frequented there,”, said an office at Amboli Police Station.
