Last week, Bhairavi Goswami broke the internet but for all the wrong reasons. The Bollywood actress, who did a small role in Hate Story, posted a distasteful remark on Kriti Sanon’s body on Twitter last month. This enraged the Twitterati as something as disgusting as this wasn’t expected from one woman to other. The actress was slammed harshly on social media for her short-lived and insensitive publicity stunt. But everyone was waiting for Kriti Sanon’s response to the body shaming tweet. After days of silence, Kriti Sanon finally gives her opinion on Bhairavi Goswami and her body shaming Twitter fiasco.
During an event in Mumbai, when Kriti Sanon was enquired about the incident, she responded, “Who is Bhairavi Goswami?”. When someone told her about Goswami’s small role in Hate Story, Kriti said, “I think, I'm just happy for her. She got a lot of publicity. Now you guys know her name also, so yeah."
Last week, Kriti Sanon was targeted by body shaming remarks by self-proclaimed movie critic KRK and lesser-known actress Bhairavi Goswami. It was started by KRK, when he posted a video in which Kriti Sanon is merrily dancing on Mubarakan song ‘Hawa Hawa’. He wrote: Ye Dekho Kiriti Bechari, Raabta Ke flop Hone Ke Baad, mentally disturb Ho Gayee hai!.

To this Tweet, Bhairavi Goswami writes, “she is really behaving like a deranged woman. How did she become an actress. No headlight, no bumper. Even college students look better”
The general reaction of Twitterati who saw the tweet, was ‘Who are you Bhairavi?’. Some even commented ‘Tum Kaun Ho Behen?’ and ‘Google You, showed no results’. Just as it was expected, her tweet received equally distasteful responses.
Two days ago, Bhairavi tweeted and complained about social media trolls targeted against her. She wrote:
Dear Trolls, Instagram has suspended all accounts trolling me.Nw reportg Twitter trolls. Enjoy ur account while it lasts,wl b suspended soon.
No matter how hit or flop an actress Kriti Sanon might be, but posting distasteful comments about a woman’s body is neither laudable nor acceptable. The 32-year-old model dug her own graves by indulging in such a petty act of publicity stunt.
On the work front, Kriti Sanon will be seen next to Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’.
