After the trailer of Kesari made loads of noise on the social media, superstar Akshay Kumar dropped the first track Sanu Kehndi on his social media. In the video, Akshay as Havildar Ishar Singh is enjoying Bhangra with his squad at some place which looks like a prison compound. Sanu Kehndi showcases the camaraderie of Ishar Singh with his 20 men who fought the Battle of Saragarhi. The song has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi and penned by Kumaar.
Romy and Brijesh Sandilya have voiced the song. Talking to DNA, Anurag said that Sanu Kehndi was helmed to display the bond of friendship shared by these 21 men.
Earlier this month, Akshay Kumar garnered heaps of praises when the first trailer of his period drama Kesari was dropped on the social media. Many people from within the fraternity lauded the superstar for playing Ishar Singh with such a gravitas.
Talking about Kesari, it is a period drama based on the famous Battle of Saragarhi which was fought between British led army of 21 Sikh men and 10,000 Afghan in 1897. It is touted to be one of the most glorious battles every fought in history. The film bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will hit the theatres on March 21.
