Kesari new promo: Akshay Kumar and his brave army show ‘what courage looks like, when you decide to fight’
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is all set to show his versatility this year with upcoming film Kesari. Known for great choice of films in the recent past, the actor has yet again picked an interesting storyline. This time, he has turned a proud soldier who fought the Battle of Saragarhi (1897), in his upcoming period drama. The makers have dropped new promo of the film which showcases us the meaning of courage in true sense.
In the new Kesari promo, Akshay Kumar can be seen dressed as a bold soldier and valiantly talks to the Afghan clan leader. He declares in the promo that the moment his army decided to fight the massive Afghans, was the exact moment when they had won the war. Akshay as Havildar Ishar Singh promises a never-seen-before experience with Kesari.
Sharing Kesari new promo on Instagram, producer Karan Johar said, "This is what courage looks like, when you decide to fight! #Kesari in cinemas on 21st March!".
Akshay Kumar is essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who led the Sikhs in the Battle of Saragarhi and defended his post against an army of 10,000 Afghan soldiers. Singh even managed to successfully stop two attacks.
Starring Parineeti Chopra opposite Akshay Kumar, Kesari is slated to release on March 21 this year.
On the work front, this year, Akshay Kumar will be seen in Mission Mangal, Good News, Housefull 4 and Sooryavanshi.
