Kesari new poster: Akshay Kumar gives tribute to 21 Sikhs who fought against 10000 invaders
Akshay Kumar after giving a blockbuster hit 2.0 with superstar Rajinikanth, is now gearing up for his next project titled Kesari which is helmed by Anurag Singh. On the occasion of 70th Republic Day today, the makers released a poster of Kesari with a beautiful caption.
Akshay will be seen as the protagonist in the film and the actor took to Instagram to share the poster of the film. Kesari also features Parineeti Chopra in lead role and the film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi. It is produced by filmmaker Karan Johar.
In the newly released poster, Akshay can be seen raising the rifle along with 21 Sikh soldiers and shared a message as well. ‘’Happy Republic Day. It’s our #70thRepublicDay but our men have been fighting for the country since time unknown. 122 years ago, 21 Sikhs fought against 10000 invaders. #KESARI is their story, in cinemas on March 21,’’ wrote Akshay in the caption of the poster.
Earlier announcing the wrap of Kesari, Akshay wrote, ‘’And it’s a wrap for #Kesari...a film which swells up my chest with immense pride. Get ready to witness the bravest battle ever fought on 21st March, 2019.’’
The film is scheduled to release on March 21.
