Kesari Box Office Collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar’s action-war film declines on Monday, earns 86.32 crore

After enjoying double digits for four days, Bollywood’s latest offering Kesari witnessed a sharp decline on Monday. The Akshay Kumar starrer action-war movie, which hit the cinemas on Holi 2019, earned Rs 78.07 crore over the weekend and Rs 8.25 crore on Monday, taking the total Kesari Box Office Collection to Rs 86.32 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the latest Kesari Box Office Collection on social media and said, “Kesari should’ve collected in double digits on Mon... North circuits dominate, driving its biz... Faces more-than-required decline in some circuits... Tue-Thu crucial... Thu 21.06 cr, Fri 16.75 cr, Sat 18.75 cr, Sun 21.51 cr, Mon 8.25 cr. Total: ₹ 86.32 cr. India biz”.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari is the biggest opener of 2019 so far and, recent reports and experts suggest that the film will go on to become one of the greatest Akshay Kumar hits of all times.

"The heart of a film lies in the casting and Kesari did it well. All the actors who played the 21 soldiers in the film nowhere seemed like they’re acting. All the emotions were displayed by them with the needed gravitas, giving us a gist of the battle that took place more than a century ago. Parineeti Chopra appeared in Havildar Ishar Singh’s imagination for few fleeting moments, but the imaginary conversations between her and Ishar Singh hurts as much as we love them", India TV critic reviewed Kesari movie.

The next three days are extremely crucial for Kesari as far as the box-office reports are concerned. Moreover, coming Friday two Bollywood films are set to hit the cinemas-Vidyut Jammwal starrer Junglee and Salman Khan production movie Notebook, starring newbies Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal.
