Kedarnath Namo Namo Song: Sushant Singh Rajput as a happy tour guide wins hearts

After the intriguing Kedarnath teaser, the makers have now dropped the first song of the film. Featuring Sushant Singh Rajput, the song depicts the life of Sushant who is a hard-working and happy tour guide in the hills. We also get to see a glimpse of leading lady Sara Ali Khan at the very end of this soulful track.

Taking to Instagram, Sara Ali Khan, who is making her Bollywood debut with the Abhishek Kapoor’s film, shared Kedarnath Namo Namo song.

Sung by Amit Trivedi and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the song is a visual delight and shows the beautiful landscape that surrounds the Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The video captures a day in the life of Mansoor, a Muslim pithoo, played by Sushant. It largely comprises shots of this charming young man who goes about doing his job with a beautiful smile covering his face. It perfectly complements the scenic beauty of Kedarnath.

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film marks the Bollywood debut of Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. With the tagline ‘Love is a pilgrimage’, the film is a unique love story of a Muslim pithoo (Sushant) and a Hindu tourist (Sara), set in the backdrop of the Uttarakhand floods that left the state devastated in 2013.

Kedarnath was initially scheduled to release on 30 November but the makers have decided to push it by a week. Produced by Balaji Telefilms and KriArj Entertainment,

Kedarnath marks Sara's debut. Being the daughter of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, Sara's addition to the project was termed as "fresh" and edgy by producer Ekta Kapoor, as reported in a DNA article. "Kedarnath is an emotional and riveting tale that blends India’s beauty with a love story from the heartland,” added Kapoor.
