New Delhi: At a time when mostly all the celebrities have social media accounts, actress Katrina Kaif has been away from it. In many of her interviews she had said that till now she has been able to fight the temptation of making a social media account but looks like that will change soon.
A report published in a leading daily suggested that Kat is giving serious thoughts about joining social media to keep in touch with her fans.
A source close to the actress told a leading daily, “Katrina was not convinced about joining social media but she now realises that it’s one of the most powerful tools to convey one’s thoughts and opinions and she has decided to jump in and test the waters. The first film that she will promote on social media is Baar Baar Dekho, which releases in September. Her reasons for joining the social media are more personal than professional. She wants to have a platform to say what she wants, and also connect with her fans directly. First, she plans to join Facebook and Insta and then she will make her presence felt on Twitter. She wants to start with a personalised introduction on FB. She will be handling the accounts herself and not through managers or a digital company.”

It is also being reported that Katrina will join the virtual world around her birthday that is July 16.
