Katrina Kaif opens up on Sooryavanshi and Inshallah box office clash

Katrina Kaif is currently gearing up for the release of her forthcoming movie Bharat, co-starring Salman Khan. The trailer of the movie was released a few days back and Katrina has already garnered praise for her character. Her look is completely different in Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial. The actress was recently also roped in for Rohit Shetty's much-awaited cop-drama Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar. However, her film might clash with Salman Khan's Inshallah which is also slated for Eid 2020 release.

Salman Khan's Inshallah is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also features Alia Bhatt in pivotal role. However, the actress is quite confident that the clash won't happen as Salman won't let it happen. When Katrina was asked about the clash, she told DNA,'' Salman loves Akshay, he loves Rohit. He will always be supportive of me in the workplace. So, I don’t think he will let his film clash with Sooryavanshi''.

While Bharat is Katrina's third collaboration with Salman Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar, Sooryavanshi is the sixth collaboration with Akshay, with whom the actress has worked in movies such as Namastey London (2007), Welcome (2007) and Singh Is Kinng (2008) among others. Talking about working again with Khiladi Kumar, the actress said, ''I am happy to be back on a set with Akshay Kumar and Rohit (Shetty) sir. On so many levels, Akshay is so special. Ours is a long association and that doesn’t go away with time.”

On a related note, Sooryavanshi is from Rohit Shetty's cop universe and promises to be packed with fire-cracker moments. The actor will be seen playing an ATS officer in his first collaboration with the Golmaal director. Meanwhile, in Inshallah, Salman will be essaying the role of a middle-aged business whereas Alia will be playing an aspiring actress around 20s. ''All the factors, including age gap, have been taken into consideration. The story will justify the teaming up of two actors, from different generations, on a romantic journey,'' a source told Mumbai Mirror.
