Katrina Kaif’s upcoming movie ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ has got under the Censor Board’s knife. The board has asked the makers to make two unexpected cuts in the movie leaving the ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ team go berserk.

The CBFC has asked BBD makers to chop off the scene showing a bra in the movie. If this was not all, the makers have also been advised to delete a reference to ‘Savita Bhabhi’, a pornographic cartoon character.

Indeed, the ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ team is going furious of CBFC’s decision.

“Are we living in the Victorian era when women’s innerwear was never spoken of in public? Years ago in 1995 there was a bra shot featuring Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan. And Baar Baar Dekho is directed by a woman. So the chances of lingerie being used to titillate the audience are nil,” a member of the ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ team reportedly told an entertainment portal.

"The CBFC asked the producers of Baar Baar Dekho to delete a reference to Savita Bhabhi. The name is used in a jokey light-hearted manner in the film. If a porn reference is objectionable then how come Sunny Leone's name was used A Flying Jatt?” a source was quoted saying.

The movie, reports suggest, has been passed with a UA certificate after the suggested cuts.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that CBFC has been making headlines for their moral policies.

Earlier, the board created a lot of buzz because of its legal battle with the makers of ‘Udta Punjab’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

At that time, the CBFC had suggested around 93 cuts to the makers. However, Anurag Kashyap, who was the producer of the movie, approached the court and the decision was ruled in their favour with ‘Udta Punjab’ being released with just one cut.

Directed by Nitya Mehra, ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ also features Sidharth Malhotra in the lead and is scheduled to release on September 9. The movie is being jointly produced by Karan Johar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
