Katrina Kaif recently set the stage on fire with her impressive moves in the song Kala Chashma’ from her upcoming ‘Baar Baar Dekho’. She has won a lot of appreciation for her ‘ab-tastic’ performance.
But, it has now been reported, that Katrina was actually not comfortable doing this song. And the reason for this discomfort was her reference in the name.
The song has a line, "Tu Munda Bilkul Desi Hai, Main Katrina Toh Soni Ve," which apparently made the actress feel awkward.
The actress also confessed that she had actually overlooked the lyrics initially and focussed more on her steps.
During an interview to a leading film journalist, Katrina said,
“I have a very very bad habit that I keep on rehearsing my steps but I never rehearse with the lyrics of the song, which is actually a very bad thing. So in this one particular line, the steps were really fast. They were so fast that I was asking which beat came on which word. So, then I actually paid attention to it and was like ‘What are you saying? How can I say that? It doesn’t make sense logically. And that I am not even comfortable with it’”.
Kat even asked the makers to tweak or delete the line. However, owing to the deadline issues, the makers refused to change the lyrics and convinced the actress to shoot with the same lines.
Well, everyone is indeed glad that the song was shot in the existing version as it has made the song much peppier. In fact, ‘Kala Chashma’ has been topping the charts ever since it has been released.
‘Baar Baar Dekho’ also features Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. Directed by Nitya Mehra, the movie is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani, and hit the theatres today.
