The clash between Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ was one of the biggest this year. ‘Kaabil’ did get a raw deal because of SRK and director Sanjay Gupta seemed to have still not gotten over the incident.
During the time of release of the two films in January, multiplex distribution ratio was also called to be unfair with Raees reportedly getting more theatres than Kaabil. ‘Kaabil’ producer Rakesh Roshan had expressed concern over multiplex distribution.
Although ‘Kaabil’ did fairly well, but the director and producers were deeply hurt.
As Akshay Kumar’s upcoming unusual love story, ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ got a release date of August 11 – the Independence Day week -- it is going to clash with SRK’s next. Sanjay Gupta was quick in commenting on the situation, unmindful of the repercussions.
The director seemed to be excited and more than happy over the impending clash between SRK’s next and Akshay’s upcoming film. Shah Rukh has signed up Imtiaz Ali’s next which is an untitled project.
Revealing his grudge, Sanjay posted on his Twitter handle, ‘’Karma you beauty and I love you so much.’’
Sanjay tweeted, ‘’Karma you beauty and I love you so much. I love how you go after all that f*** with you. Kartam Bhukhtam on independence day.’’
SRK fans trolled 'Kaabil' director Sanjay Gupta probably realised his mistake and deleted his tweet.
