New Delhi: Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor recently granted divorced by court from her estranged husband Sunjay Kapoor.
The couple had got married in 2003, and were fighting the divorce case since 2014.
While Sunjay and Karisma have parted ways on a mutual consent, ‘Lolo’ has got the custody of their kids Samaira and Kian.
Indeed, it is a bug relief for the Kapoor family, who has been standing strong, with their dear daughter.
When her father Randhir Kapoor was quizzed about Karisma being officially divorced now, he said, “I don't want to comment on this. It's a closed chapter for our family.”
Earlier, the veteran actor had stated, “I don't know if it is a good or a bad thing, but it is certainly a sad moment for our family. The only silver lining in this is that the children will spend most part of the year with us. Karisma has been through a rough time in the last few years. It has been emotionally draining for her.”
Karisma’s divorce case got into limelight in mid 2015, when the couple started making ugly allegations against each other.
While Karisma filed a dowry harassment case against her estranged hubby, Sunjay too accused the actress for marrying him for just money.
However, the two recently draw back their cases after which the court granted them divorce with mutual consent.
