New Delhi: It’s been a while that the Karisma Kapoor’s divorce case was in the limelight. The diva, who had married businessman Sunjay in 2003, had a troubled married life.
Karisma and Sunjay had separated in 2012 and since then they had been fighting a divorce case.
And now the estranged couple is officially separated after the Mumbai Family court finally granted them divorce.
Karisma and Sunjay’s divorce case turned ugly after the two started off with a blame game against each other.
While Karisma filed a dowry harassment case against her estranged hubby, Sunjay too accused the actress for marrying him for just money.
However, around two months ago, the estranged couple agreed to get divorced mutually and agreed on the terms of separation.
And finally after much of the legal tussle, the couple has officially parted ways. Karisma and Sunjay have two children – 11 year old Samiera and 6 year old Kiran Raj Kapoor.
According to the media reports, Karisma has not just got the custody of her children but the Khar flat owned by Sunjay's late father Surinder Kapur has also been transferred to the diva. On the other hand, Sunjay has been allowed to visit the kids twice a month.
Reportedly, both Karisma and Sunjay have moved on in their personal lives as well.
