New Delhi: Karisma Kapoor’s troubled married life has been much more in the limelight than her professional life.
The actress, who married Sunjay Kapur in 2003, recently got divorced.
Karisma’s divorce case has always been a hot topic of gossip. While the now ex-couple has been staying separately since a while, Karisma raised a lot of eyebrows after she accused Sunjay for domestic violence and dowry harassment.
On the other hand, Sunjay too alleged that the ‘Biwi No.1’ actressa had married him just for the sake of money.
Since then, their divorce case only turned murkier with every passing day, with both Sunjay and Karisma making weird allegations about each other.
However, the couple has finally got divorced officially now and Karisma has got the custody of her kids. Indeed it is a tough time for Karisma. Even her father Randhir too referred to it as a sad moment.
But when Kareena was quizzed about Karisma’s divorce she chose to stay mum over it.
“It is such a personal thing. Both Karisma and I haven’t spoken about it at all. How I support my sister is no one’s concern,” says Kareena, adding, “I’m very happy that people are concerned about her, because she is a public figure, and I respect that. But people are also writing 500 versions of the matter (Karisma’s personal life), when no one knows the truth,” Kareena told a leading daily.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan is busy gearing up for the release of her forthcoming movie ‘Udta Punjab’. The movie also features Shahid Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh and Alia Bhatt and is expected to hit the screens on June 17, 2016.
