New Delhi: Remember the time when Rakesh Roshan directorial ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ was released?

Starring Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel in the lead, the movie was an instant hit. ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ not just marked the debut of Hrithik-Ameesha, but also made them overnight stars.

Interestingly, Ameesha was not the first choice for the movie. Instead it was Kareena Kapoor who was supposed to make her debut along with Duggu. But things changed after shooting a couple of scenes, however, and the role went to Ameesha. Kareena, on the other hand, went on to make her debut opposite Abhishek Bachchan in ‘Refugee’, which was also released the same year. ‘Refugee’, unfortunately, failed to impress the audience.

But now we hear that ‘Refugee’ wasn’t Bebo’s debut movie. Instead she did a cameo in ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’.

Surprised?

It’s true and this revelation was made by Kareena herself.

“My first shot was for Rakesh Roshan in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. And it’s still there in the film! It’s there – behind the rock, there’s a scene in a blue sweater and jeans. That’s me, not Ameesha,” Kareena told an entertainment portal.

So, now when you’ll watch ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ you will be able to spot Bebo in it.

Currently, Kareena Kapoor Khan is celebrating the success of her last release ‘Udta Punjab’. Also starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh, ‘Udta Punjab’ was based on the sensitive issue of increasing substance abuse among youth in India.
