Actors Gagan Kang and Arjit Lavania, who were seen playing some prominent roles in mythological show Mahakali-Anth Hi Aarambh Hai, lost their lives when their car rammed into a stationery trailer on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway. According to police Gagan was driving the car and Arjit was sitting next to him. A spot boy who was reportedly with them in the car also passed away. This news has shocked the telly world and many telly actors mourn the death of two actors on social media.
Debina Bonnerjee tweeted, “In fond memory and questions and lessons.... #rip #GaganKang .never knew I would write a rip for a friend.”
Karanvir Bohra, who is known for his popular show Naagijn 2, was also saddened with the incident. He shared the pictures of the actors with a lengthy message.
Mahakali-Anth Hi Aarambh Hai producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary was shocked and saddened by the death of the two actors. He said in a statement, "I don't think we will ever come to terms with this tragedy. Our hearts go out to the families and we stand united with them. May their souls R.I.P."
According to police, after shooting, the actors were going back to their home for two-days-break when the accident took place. Beer cans and snacks has been found from their car. An autopsy report is yet to come.
The police has said that the accident looks like the case of drink and drive and also over speeding. In Mahakali-Anth Hi Aarambh Hai, Gagan was seen playing the role of Indra and Arjit was seen as Nandi.
