Filmmaker Alankrita Shrivastava’s Lipstick Under My Burkha has been in limelight for some obvious reasons. The movie which was earlier not allowed to be released by CBFC because of its bold content, is all set to hit the screens on July 21. Not only actresses but leading men of small screen have also come out in support of the film by posting their picture with a lipstick. The movie is being distributed by producer Ekta Kapoor's Alt Balaji and Balaji telefilms.
TV actor Karan Patel, who is seen playing the lead in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein shared a picture with lipstick on social networking site Instagram. He captioned the image as, “No shame to accept, She is POWERFUL, She is STRONG and if you think otherwise, up yours you're Wrong ...! @ektaravikapoor more power to you for yet again proving the fact that a woman can do what no man can even think of. #LipstickUnderMyBurkha and the world at my feet ... is what every woman should believe ..! #lipstickrebellionbegins ...! This one is an eyeopener ..!”
Karanvir Bohra sported lipstick and shared a picture with his wife Teejay. The actor has worked with Ekta in many popular TV shows.
Actor Aamir ali also posted a picture supporting the film. Previously, telly actresses Divyanka Tripathi, Kamya Punjabi and many other leading ladies shared posts in support of the film.
