Filmmaker Karan Johar has finally shared the first look of Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s debut film Dhadak. Jahnvi will be seen sharing the screen space with Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar in the film. The first look was shared by Karan Johar on social media. With this, Janhvi has also made her Instagram debut. She too, shared the posters of her debut film on Instagram. After the first poster, many pictures of the film were shared on social media This comes as a great news for movie buffs who were waiting for the announcement of her debut film.
Karan took to social networking site Instagram to share the poster. He captioned the image as, "PRESENTING ..JANHVI and ISHAAN @zeestudiosofficial and @dharmamovies proudly presents #Dhadak directed by @shashankkhaitan @apoorva1972 #DHADAK."
In the poster, both Ishaan and Janhvi can be seen head over heels in love. The chemistry between the two stars look amazing. Expectations are high from the film. It is yet to be seen if the stars manage to spell magic on the movie buffs.
While "Dhadak" will mark Janhvi's foray into Bollywood, Ishaan is making his acting debut with Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi's India-set movie "Beyond The Clouds".
In one of the posters released, the two actors are seen embracing each other. The setting has the sun emitting rays and it captures the silhouette of a desert with a camel cart.
Sridevi is excited about her daughter's debut. In an interview, she had said that she is "mentally more prepared than" Janhvi for it.
"She has been watching me, and knows what she is getting into. Nothing is going to be a cakewalk in any profession. So you have to work hard, and there will be challenges. I'm sure she is ready for it," she had said.
Eariler, it was being said that the veteran actress was angry with Karan as he was taking too much time to make the announcement about Janhvi's debut film but seems that those were mere rumours.
Dhadak is a remake of popular Marathi film Sairat. Speculations were doing the rounds from quite some time that Ishaan and Janhvi are dating. Both of them have always been tight-lipped on this matter but their joint appearance at movie screenings indicated that they are more than just friends.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie is all set to hit the screens on July 6, 2018.
