Ace comedian Kapil Sharma is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Firangi but seems that the actor wants to test his acting abilities. If latest reports are to be believed, Kapil will be seen playing a negative character in his next film. The actor in his interview stated that movie buffs think he is only capable of doing comedy but there is much more from his side that he wants to show to the audience.
Kapil was quoted as saying, “when I started in the 2007 Great Indian Laughter Challenge, I was not a standup comedian, I was a theatre artist but I tried it and it worked. I was doing many emotional and romantic plays during my theatre days but as I got an identity as a comedian so I focused mainly on this context.”
In fact, Kapil’s Firangi co-star Ishita Dutt also feels that the actor should try his hands in a grey-shaded character.
Kapil was lately in the news for his tussle with Sunil Grover. His show The Kapil Sharma Show went off air owing to his ill health.
On a related note, Kapil’s second Bollywood project Firangi is all set to hit the screens on November 24. The actor made his Bollywood debut with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Firangi is the maiden Bollywood project that he has bankrolled.
