New Delhi: India’s most loved comedian Kapil Sharma, after a break of over three months, launched his brand new show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Saturday night.
The audiences were desperately waiting for Kapil and his funny family to return on the small screen after his hit show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ came to an end following his argument with the Colors channel.
The maiden episode of the show, which opened to a live audience in New Delhi's Siri Fort Auditorium earlier, was aired on Saturday. It featured superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the first guest, who was there to promote his recent release ‘Fan’.
It was a laughter riot for the audiences as both SRK and Kapil nailed comedy in their own ways.
While Shah Rukh cracked a few jokes and charmed the audience with his witty one-liners, funny-man Kapil, on the other hand, wasn’t behind in taking pot-shots at himself and entertaining the people with his stand-up comedy.
Ali Asgar’s ‘begum’ avatar and Sunil Grover as ‘haryanvi’ lady cop further lightened the atmosphere. Talking about Kapil’s wife Sumona, well the poor lady still has to face jokes on her ‘lips’ no matter if the show is different.
SRK, at the end, also danced to the promotional song of his movie ‘Jabra Fan’. It was a delight to see watching him matching steps with Navjot Singh Sidhu.
The overall response for the show on social media is positive, except some people who believed that Kapil and his family didn’t match their previous performance.

"The Kapil Sharma Show" airs on Sony Entertainment Television every Saturday and Sunday, 9 p.m. onwards. Tonight’s episode will feature Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor who will promote their upcoming movie ‘Baaghi’.
