Comedy King Kapil Sharma was rushed to a Mumbai hospital after he fainted on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS) on Friday. Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma were promoting their upcoming Imtiaz Ali film Jab Harry Met Sejal on TKSS sets when the incident occurred. Kapil’s blood pressure shot up and, the he felt very uneasy, fresh reports suggest. The ace comedian is in the hospital now with his family by his side, informed Kiku Sharda, Kapil’s co-actor from TKSS.
Talking to Times of India Kiku said, "Yes, Shah Rukh Khan was shooting in the Film City vicinity for some promo shoot last night. By the time he came on the sets, Kapil had already left for a checkup. He was feeling uneasy and the doctors advised him to get admitted. Kapil is still in the hospital and his family is with him. Now our regular shooting is on 11th and 13th July, but I don't know which film's star cast will be visiting our sets."
Kapil Sharma has been juggling between the shoot of TKSS and his upcoming film Firangi which seems to have taken a toll on his health. Bharti Singh who is now a part of The Kapil Sharma Show as Babli, recently said she is confident that the "audience will love to see me and Kapil entertaining them together. I played a Punjabi character named ‘Babli' who is a boisterous marriage broker from Delhi. It will be fun to see her antics and how she deals with candidates looking for prospective partners," Bharti said in a statement.
Kapil Sharma is currently facing setback in his career. Just a couple of months back, he was involved in an ugly spat with his co-actor comedian Sunil Grover inside a plane. Kapil’s public apology did not move Sunil who quit the show and refused to join back even after numerous attempts by his co-stars and friends. But all in vain. The incident badly affected the show’s TRP and there were reports that it may be taken off air.
